Chocolate Chip Cookie Cheesecake Bars
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2/3 cup softened butter
2/3 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar (divided)
2 eggs (divided)
2 tsp vanilla (divided)
2 cups chocolate chips
8 oz cream cheese
baking sheet
parchment paper
electric mixer
spoon
3 bowls
Directions:
Take one large bowl and combine the flour, baking soda and salt with a spoon. In another bowl, take your softened butter, brown sugar, and ½ cup of regular sugar, and blend using an electric hand mixer. One combined, add 1 egg, 2 tsp of vanilla, and then the ingredients from your first bowl before one final beat with the mixer. Now, carefully fold in your chocolate chips and set aside.
In a separate bowl, beat together the cream cheese, the remaining ½ cup of sugar, egg, and 2 tsp vanilla. It’s time for assembly! Lay some parchment paper out of a baking sheet and spread the cookie dough all over, making a solid base for your filling, but leaving about a ¼ of the dough for later. Now top the dough with your cream cheese mixture and crumble the rest of the dough over the top before popping it into a 350° F oven for 40 min.
After they’ve cooled and assuming you’ve managed to keep your hands off of them so far, cut them into squares, and prepare to collect quite a few “oh my, WHERE did you get this recipes” as people try this insanely delicious dessert combination.
